Management careers in the design community are creating new opportunities for focused professionals who are willing and motivated to acquire the knowledge, skills and experience required to handle complex sets of responsibilities.
The International Academy of Design and Technology's Master of Fine Arts degree program in Media Design Management helps prepare students for management opportunities in the multimedia industry. The emphasis of the MFA degree program is the analysis and effective use of media in a variety of applied design formats.
This career-focused Media Design Management degree program is structured to provide increased skills and analysis for advancement opportunities in various fields of multimedia. It also offers opportunities for individuals with degrees in other disciplines who are seeking to enter into the field to acquire relevant knowledge, skills and applied use of multimedia in today's real world. These two educational paths are offered to address the needs and goals of two separate and distinct groups of MFA candidates:
- The Academy Thesis Track is geared towards students who already possess skills and working backgrounds in multimedia-related fields. Emphasis of study is on the critical analysis of media, as well as its constraints, emerging trends and end use. Coursework focuses on the refining of project management and tracking skills.
- The Academy Non-Thesis Track is for students who are focused either on making a career change into a multimedia field or acquiring the knowledge required to apply multimedia skills to their current career capabilities. This course of study is also appropriate for those students not wishing to complete a thesis.
